The company strengths lie in high-end luxury properties based in Southern Africa, and Indian Ocean Island destinations, but is also capable of servicing unique and intimate properties or groups of all types. To provide a competitive edge, Itinerant also collaborates with existing freelance professionals based in key source markets. This allows a wider reach and cost-effective exposure for travel into Southern Africa.

The brand was created with the core value of bringing bespoke and intimate properties, activities and brands together, and presenting them to the international travel trade by maximising digital opportunities, and combining them with personalised face to face sales techniques.

The ethos is to ensure that each client receive quality representation, advice and specialist care in the tourism industry through existing supplier relations as well as generating new leads through digital and in person marketing activities.

Through close collaboration with specialist luxury sales executives in key source markets, Itinerant promises to deliver exposure beyond the South African market, and combine traveller itineraries into Southern and East Africa with that of the Indian Ocean Islands to fulfil a complete African experience.

Over 17 years experience in hospitality operations and administration. Gary has become a specialist in sales and marketing for luxury brands within Southern Africa over the past 9 years. Some of Gary’s favorite memories include the representation of high-end luxury brands across Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands over the past 7 years, and presenting them to markets across the United Kingdom, Europe and North America.

With extensive experience in online connectivity, content, and rates distribution, Gary is a firm believer that technology in the tourism sector is yet to be fully exploited. Although tech plays a massive role in the digital age, Gary believes that no service can be truly complete without a personalized, in-person approach with individuality at its core. 

A true itinerant, in constant pursuit of finding that perfect balance between technology and personal touch.
